Today for lunch B and I went to Russo’s pizza in Bridgewater. It’s a small place located in a little strip mall with about 10 tables that seat 4 people each and for lunch it was fairly full. They have been in business in the same spot for over 20 years so that in itself says a lot about the overall quality of the food that they have.
I have been to Russo’s a few times so I can tell you about a few different things on their menu. I usually get a small house salad which is always fresh but nothing fancy, iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion pepper rings and topped with shredded mozzarella cheese, I usually get it with just oil and vinegar and it comes with a small loaf of warm crispy Italian bread. Their pizza is thin crust with a nice mild flavored sauce and just the right amount of toppings. I also have gotten the chicken parmesan sandwich, the chicken is just normal chicken tenders so they are nothing special but the sauce is good it is smothered in cheese and it comes on that great bread so overall it’s a nice sandwich. Yesterday I got the Antipasto salad. It had 3 stacks of meat Salami, Capicola, ham and Provolone, Iceberg lettuce, tomato and pepper rings and again comes with that great bread. I ordered the small and was full.
Overall I like Russo’s and will continue to eat there. The guys behind the counter are always friendly and the place is neat and clean. I would recommend a stop here if you are in the Bridgewater area and craving pizza. I should mention that they also have a full assortment of Italian pasta dishes but I have never tried them.
For now this is the food dude wishing you good eats
