Today M and I were in Somerville and decided to go to Martino's for lunch. Its a Cuban restaurant that was been in the same location for around 20 years. Martino himself was there to greet us and the others customers that came in and always had something nice to say. I happen to like when the owner comes out and says hello just something you cant get at a big chain.
I had the Colombian Typical Platter (Tipica Montanera) which is (Sliced steak with onions, Spanish sausage, rib belly, white rice, black beans, sweet plantains, fried egg and salad). M had Arroz con Pollo which is chicken with rice. Mine was excellent all of the components were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I left full and happy. M seemed to enjoy hers as well but I did not try it. I also had a Pineapple Shake which was nice and refreshing and had great flavor.
Lunch was about 30 dollars so its not the cheapest place but it is worth the money. They also have an all you can eat lunch buffet during the week for 8.95 which is definitely worth a visit.
For now this is the food dude wishing you good eats
