Manville Diner on Urbanspoon

Typical NJ Diner

Saturday night we decided that we were going to see the Avengers at the theater in Manville. We were a little hungry so we decided to stop at the Manville diner for a quick dinner. I haven't been to this particular diner since I was young so I wasn't sure what to expect. Its a very small diner that has been there for as long as I can remember. The waitress knew almost everyone in the place so I have to assume that they cater to mostly a local crowd which Is the type of place that I tend to like.

Started the dinner with a salad. Was a good start all of the vegetables were extremely fresh and the portion size was enough to share as expected with a diner. For dinner I had a Ruben which is one of my favorite diner foods so I tend to order them a lot. Came with Cole Slaw and a large side of fries. Out of all of the Ruben's I have had in my life this one ranked up near the top. The corn beef was so tender that it was just melting in my mouth the sauerkraut wasn't to sour and it had just the right amount of cheese on it. M had a tomato stuffed with tuna salad that came with a ton of fresh fruit. the fruit was nice and ripe and couldn't of been better. I didn't try the tuna but she enjoyed it. For desert I had coconut custard pie which had a nice flaky crust and the filing tasted nice and eggie.

Overall this was a pleasant experience and I plan on returning to this diner soon.

For now this is the food dude wishing you good eats
